【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardspecifiesamethodfordeterminingtheminimalinhibitoryconcentration(MIC)ofaseriesofantibioticsapplicabletobifidobacteriaandnon-enterococcallacticacidbacteria(LAB).NOTEUnlikethediskdiffusionmethod,whichissemi-quantitative,thefrequentlyusedbrothmicrodilutionmethodgivesquantitativeMICsofthetestorganisminadilutionseriesoftheantibiotics.ThelowestconcentrationofanantibioticthatpreventsvisiblegrowthofatestorganismisconsideredtobetheMIC.ThisInternationalStandardrecommendsthebrothmicrodilutionmethodasthestandardmethod.
